To mark the 60years anniversary of Ghana-China diplomatic ties, the maiden Ghana-China Economic and Cultural(GCEC) Week was held in October and November, 2020 in multiple venues andvirtual platforms across Ghana and china.
Six key activities were held over a six week period covering areas of health,education, business, tourism, entrepreneurship, technology and innovation andculture. The activities were attended by several high level Ghanaian andChinese government officials, business people, scholars, startups, students,media and the general public.
COCID-19 pandemic required that most of the activities be held virtually. This also offered the rare chance to connect participants fromGhana, China and globally live.
The project was held by DUAPA AFRICA with supported of The Chinese Embassy in Ghana and The Ghanaian Embassy in China.
